We are delighted to welcome Chris Rhoden to Adapt Biogas as our new Plant Manager, working at our Murrow AD plant.
Chris has begun the mammoth task of ensuring the plant performs to the best of its ability and more importantly, creates a tonne of green energy sent straight to the national grid.
Having worked with our Head of Operations, Ricky in the past, this dream team of a partnership are now back together, taking on the Murrow plant.
On making an initial assessment of the Murrow plant when coming to work at Adapt, Chris quickly identified there were a few systems that needed to be aligned to help streamline the biological process and couldn’t wait to get some of these projects panned in and started.
Chris has outstanding work experience in the AD field working with liquid waste sites as well as a spell in the world of composting, but the lure of Anaerobic Digestion has brought him back with the understanding and knowledge that there are some very interesting problems to solve, and no two days are the same. Plus, a chance to work with his old school buddy Ricky Maylin who also recently joined the team.
From Chris’s previous experience at plants, the working farm aspect is an area of interest to Chris who enjoys spending time out and about in the open on-site via the farm. He is very much hoping that the process of transferring agricultural waste to become green energy will have fewer problems than the regular issues of contamination which happens at many other commercial food waste plants.
So, what are Chris’s priorities?
To start with Chris wants to create the BEST SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) ever for the plant to help streamline processes and make the plant as efficient as possible. This work has already started and has resulted in some equipment now operating wonderfully after being out of circulation for around a year. So, Chris is making a difference already!
Some of these improvements are going to take time, but Chris wholly believes it is vital that time is taken to plan, and the team must speculate to accumulate when it comes to ensuring the right suppliers, operators and teams are in place to complete whatever work is required.
When he does have some downtime, Chris likes to spend time with his wife, family and dog, Mylo in any beer garden local to Stamford, a lovely town he has recently moved to. Can’t argue with that!
We welcome Chris to the team and can’t wait to see what changes he has got up his sleeve! Best of luck!
