We were delighted to welcome some local primary schools to the Murrow AD plant this week.
The team welcomed Burrowmoor Primary Academy and Murrow, Leverington and Gorefield Primary Academies for an educational visit to see what these mysterious domes in the countryside really do!
Our Head of Operations, Ricky, was suited and booted ready to explain the AD process to the visitors and show them around the farm and AD plant site to understand the importance of the generation of green energy.
It was lovely to see the positive impact of the visit on all concerned and, judging by the hilarity coming from the boardroom Ricky’s presentation went down well. The children (we hope) had a great time and maybe learned a little about biogas generation, the circular economy, and the environment along the way. Goody bags despatched with some great cow themed goodies and wildflower seeds to plant and the visit was over.
It was a great sunny day to show off the capabilities of this great farm-based AD plant and hopefully we have shown the local residents of the future what good work is being done just down the road from them.
Have a look at here.
If you would be interested in your organisation visit our plants (Murrow or Evercreech) please do let us know.
