We are delighted to welcome Natasha Edwards to the Adapt Biogas team as our new Commercial Procurement Manager.
Though new to the renewable energy sector, Natasha is well versed in the agricultural sector as she comes from a well-established nationwide agricultural buying group where her primary focus over the last three years was the procurement of livestock feed and inputs.
Natasha’s role is not new to Adapt but she is keen to be entering the renewable energy sector and help to build longstanding and strategic relationships with the local farming community and feedstock suppliers for both of our plants in Cambridgeshire and Somerset.
Her role will require her working closely with our Plant Managers to ensure the feedstock strategy encourages operational continuity and optimal plant performance to keep it actively and efficiently producing green energy for the national grid and local community.
Ensuring surety of supply is essential for any anaerobic digestion plant and finding the right feedstocks at the right prices consistently is hugely important to make the plant as profitable as possible. Although a large part of Natasha’s role is feedstock procurement specifically, Natasha will also oversee procurement for non-inventory purchases and contracts, and commercial projects such as Power Purchase Agreements and Green Gas Certificates.
Natasha started her role in October and has already established that ‘no two days’ are the same. Working with the team in this forward-thinking business is going to create lots of opportunities to grow with the business and learn as much as possible about the renewable energy industry.
When Natasha is not busy at Adapt she enjoys spending her spare time with her two horses Sollie and Helga or is often found out walking her with her Whippet.
