A change of guard at Adapt Biogas as we formally welcome Ricky Maylin to our Senior Management Team as Head of Operations. After successfully being at the helm of his own business, OMN Energy, and contracting with Adapt Biogas in the short term.
Ricky is looking forward to working with Adapt Biogas in his new role and welcomes the ability to work with an exceptional team at Somerset Farm. The direct approach of Adapt to bring Ricky into the team, was welcomed by Ricky and he is looking forward to developing his role and working hand in hand with Chris Rhoden, our new Plant Manager, another recent recruit to Adapt and the rest of the team.
Coming on board with Adapt gives Ricky a chance to learn and develop more knowledge on the farm side of the business which he hasn’t experienced before as well as learning more about some of the other areas of business that occur down on the farm and ideally in the future at our other Adapt AD site in Evercreech, Somerset.
Ricky’s shared some of his unusual and unique experiences in the AD sector with the projects he worked on, for example, an AD plant that focused on the whisky sector up in Scotland and though not having a great love of whisky in the first instance, did grow to love it when stationed there.
When he does have some downtime, he enjoys watching the footy (well Liverpool FC!) and regular commutes to the plant from his Northamptonshire base to the Murrow plant, giving him ample time to reflect on another busy day ahead!
